I met my charter this morning at 6:30am and we launched out of Cassen Park in Ormond Beach. With a Mom and Dad, a 10 year old and an almost 6 year old, I knew the focus would be keeping the kids entertained. Everyone was eager and excited to get on the boat and start fishing. We started out at what is usually a very productive trout spot in Ormond but on this particular morning it was catfish city. The next spot was much more productive. We got Mangrove Snapper, Jacks, Bluefish, Ladyfish, Snook, and Trout. The bite slowed a bit so we decided to go for a little ride and do some Redfish fishing down in Daytona. Within a few minutes we had the first Redfish landed. Then dad hooked up with a nice one that came unbuttoned boat side. All in all it was a great time with a great family! Photos courtesy of mom.
