The fishing between Ormond and Daytona Beach has been on fire for the past week! We are catching black drum ranging from 5-30lbs on fresh dead and live shrimp. Trout seem to be everywhere right now with the best bite being sunrise or night. Live bait, DOA CAL paddle tails, and topwater plugs are all working great. Redfish have been cruising the east bank of Ormond in search of shrimp. The Jacks are moving out of the deep channels and into the shallows. They are busting schools of mullet at the surface and will take almost anything that moves. The Snook bite is still pretty good around the Ormond and Daytona bridges. The best time to find them is low light. The Tarpon are even showing up in the ICW already. We have jumped a few but not landed any in the Halifax. The few we’ve got this year have all come out of the Tomoka River. Get it while the gettings good! If your looking for a good fishing guide, I’m your man! Book a charter with me today!
