The school of black drum in the Tomoka Basin have been thick for the past few weeks. Anglers on my charters have been getting their fill fishing for these bottom dwelling bad boys.
We are also getting nice sized mangroves and trout off the bars. The Tarpon, Snook, Trout, and Redfish have been going nuts around the point on tomoka state park.
From 6am-6:45 it’s a feeding frenzy buy once the sun comes up they stop blasting the mullet at the surface. There have been a few decent Flounder caught this week as well. The shrimp are all back up at Highbridge.
