A few days ago I had the rare opportunity to take a guides day off and fish with a buddy of mine way back in the super skinny waters in and around Ormond Beach. We initially planned to throw the fly rod but with wind gusts reaching nearly 20mph we stuck with spinning rods and jigs. It didn’t take long to start hooking up with fish. Lots of Snook
and a few redfish. The largest red measured about 32″ and we caught him in less then a foot of water. Talk about fun. The big redfish even had a remora stuck to its side. You don’t see that every day!
